Pursue Psychological and Emotional Change

Your Emotions Matter

Emotions are at the core of our human experience, yet so often it feels like our emotions can overwhelm our lives and lead us into behaviors that can ultimately derail us from our most valued goals. When you're struggling with issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, or major life changes, there comes a time when help is needed from a professional to cope with many of life’s trials and challenges. I’m a licensed clinical professional counselor in the Chicago Southland area (Matteson/Homewood-Flossmoor/Tinley Park/Frankfort), and I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. I offer individualized psychodynamic counseling and psychoanalytic psychotherapy to help you utilize your strengths and realize your personal potential.

About Therapy

Personalized Attention for Your Emotional and Psychological Wellness

I believe a good relationship between therapist and client is key to the process of psychotherapy. Please let me know what you want to get out of the counseling experience (such as working on long-term issues that may go back to childhood or a very direct treatment plan for a specific concern, such as a phobia or social anxiety). I always seek to build a collaborative bond with clients in order to work together to achieve better mental health. I have training in behavior analysis and therapy through the Rehabilitation Institute of Southern Illinois University and training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy through the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis & Psychology and Columbia University's Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. I'm currently a candidate at the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis.

It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix--it doesn't happen all at once and there are generally no simple solutions to long-standing mental and emotional issues. Therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and therapist alike. In the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
